It’s a New Day: The Struggle Continues
Fundraiser Benefitting Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Foundation and Chicago Torture Justice Center

Join Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Foundation and Chicago Torture Justice Center for a joint fundraiser. The beautiful struggle for a world without racist state violence and for reparations and healing services for survivors, their families, and communities is more urgent than ever. While major shifts in Chicago’s political landscape have created new possibilities for change, the demands on our movement have never been greater.
Please help us create a new day for Chicago’s survivors of police violence and support our continuing struggle to memorialize survivors’ strength and courage, as well as the history of the movement for reparations. Join us for our First Annual Gala to benefit the Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Foundation and the Chicago Torture Justice Center.
Join long-time and new supporters of the fight for reparations and the continued work of the CTJC and CTJMF. We will celebrate our wins, raise much needed funds, connect with our co-strugglers, dance to the tunes of DJ Shawn Whirl, and enjoy a cocktail hour with drinks and small bites. We will also screen a short film by our supporter Laurence Ralph titled “The Torture Letters.” Our Featured performer will be Tasha with a special guest appearance from Jamila Woods.
Honorees include Teresa Prim, Eric Williams, Frank Chapman, and Mothers of the Movement for Reparations.
