Arts + Public Life Teen Arts Council
Fall 2024
In the fall, survivors Michelle Clopton, Stanley Howard, and Carl Williams acted as local partners for the Arts + Public Life Education Teen Arts Council to share their experiences as survivors and to support the young people with their culminating creative project.
The Teen Arts Council is an introductory multidisciplinary art experience for young people to learn skills in arts, community engagement, leadership, events planning, and more. The Council members work with local partners to develop projects, workshops, and public events for various audiences.
Carl Williams: “My experience with working with APL’s Teen Art’s Council was great. I loved and enjoyed the creative thoughts and collaboration with everyone. I appreciate the engagement and the questions to gain greater understanding so that they can present their best work. The time spent working on the project was great and emotional and fun. I look forward to working with them again on future projects.”
